With the establishment of the framework for the NHIN (National Health Information Network) and the recent announcement of the NHIN Direct Project, 2010 promises to be the year health information exchange issues in the U.S. are tackled head on.
Health information exchange may sound incredibly boring to most, but the ability to exchange health information is critically important to every patient and potential patient (i.e., everyone).
