About Us

The Open Health Project is jointly facilitated by Cindy Throop (cthroop@open-health.us) and Claudio Luís Vera.

Cindy Throop, MSW, is the editor of the Open Health Project. By day, Cindy is the research manager at the Center for Information Therapy in Bethesda, MD. Her expertise is in research methodology, data management, program evaluation, and policy analysis. She has worked on academic, for-profit, and non-profit research projects on various topics, including social welfare, education, substance abuse, mental health, and health.

Claudio Luís Vera, MBA is a creative director and principal of studio:module, an award-winning design and information architecture boutique based in Miami. His past work includes the design and architecture of HarvardScience and designs for Verizon, Intelsat, Comcast, MIT, and Blue Cross.
